MAYFLY FOR THE ERNENice flies Wayne,
Like the Mayflies. Would love to try them on the Erne.
Here is my top pattern on erne from April to October. The Claret Hackle and the twinkle tail seem to do the business.

LL,
that is a really interesting pattern.
I have seen some the patterns in Waynes photos in the flesh, and the quality is amazing. Your own stuff looks fantastic as well.
All I can say is, that if I thought flys had to be that good I would give up right now. But there is 2 very important things that I know,-
1/ My badly tied flies will catch fish,
2/ A fish caught on one of my badly tied flies is 100 times more satisfying than a fish caught on a shop bought fly.
Will still keep practicing though, and being impressed by these patterns.
Thanks for posting them.

FF, just remember this a scruffy fly will catch fish, as will a tidy fly but a badly tied fly will fall apart!!!!
I am a fussy git when it comes to flies so I seem to take my time, if I do something I am not happy with I will undo it and start again, its better to correct your mistakes as you go along as you wont get a chance when the fly is completed. But at the end of the day if they catch fish & make you happy work away.
