Carp Hooks

There was some patterns in one of the magazines this month using Kamasan b175's in size 8. This was one of my favourite carp fishing patterns in sizes 6 and 8. My biggest ever carp was in fact caught on a size 6 b175. Just about all of the major manufacturers who produce hooks for carp fishing include a specific carp fishing pattern which is a blatant copy of this very popular trout hook.

I still have a handful of 8s knocking about so I tied up 7 lures last night. Not the prettist flies in the world, but I am sure one of them will catch something over the winter, probably a tree.

you should do pretty well with both those patterns F/F.. the bottom one would pass for a damsel nymph..
