Cleaning fish

hi guys how do you dispose of fish guts after cleaning them I threw mine in the bin in a plastic bag but it was rather smelly! can anyone suggest a better method?

I usually double bag them. I did read somewhere about double bagging them and then freezing.

Being this is in the sea fishing section I am assuming that you are referring to sea caught fish. If I am taking fish when sea fishing I would gut & clean them as soon as they are caught, I then place them in a cool box with ice packs. The guts are thrown into the gullies around the rocks and act as a ground bait for the pollock later on.
