Latest Fishing Report
Ray Labd with his 8lb 10oz overwintered rainbow taken on a Damsel off the bank.
Just when you thought the fishing couldn't get any better anglers at Foremark prove me wrong by taking bags weighing up to 26lb for 6 fish. The rod average at Foremark is 8 this week with some massive bags of rainbows coming to the scales with big fish also coming out up to the 9lb mark.
Ray Land had the largest fish of the season this week a cracking overwintered fish at 8lb 10ozs. Ray took 20 mins to land this fantastic rainbow which took a Green Damsel fished on an intermidate line outside the Lodge. Les Wheeler weighed a fine Blue trout in at 7lb which he took of the boat fishing a Di7 and a Orange Boobie on the bottom next to the cage. Iain Barr had proberly the best day this week taking 35 fish up to 4lb off the boat in variours spote from the Sailing Club down the Cavers Arm and the Gorse Bushes. Iain was fishing a di3 with his new patterns the Blue Cat and also the U V Black Cormarant and boy do they work.
Bank anglers are catching well all around the bank from the Lodge Frontage to Bramble bay, Floating or intermidates have been producind the best bags and flies like Black/green, green/white and pritty much any lure you have. Some anglers have been catching on the nymphes and they have been picking out some of the older fish which is great to see. Boat anglers have found alot of fish around the Cages, Sailing Club, Flamingo and all the way down thw Cavers Arm, the tip for the boat lads is to stay within 100yrds of the bank as the fish haven't really moved out yet and again top patterns have been lures.
