hello everyone, right i am going to ask for a show of names for people who would be interested in competing in a forum league at a number of venues with maybe a cup at the end of the year and prizes at each venue etc etc

if you are interested, please post in this thread, we need at least 10 members and then we can discuss trips to fisheries etc and electing someone to handle competition organisation like sorting out prices, booking venues and boats etc and sorting out prizes or maybe having one person to do prizes and one to sort competitions

any ideas will be welcome

harry g had some good ideas on following post but unfortunately Straid fishery is no longer available as a venue

game fisher it is a gud idea in theory but we had tried to get one but it was hard to get all fisheries to commit

I would be going for the craic, pure and simple. If I win something along the way, well great an added bonus. To me its a chance to fish a few venues and meet a few members.

yea beatnik it wnt reali b a competition as such, jus bit of crack and maybe have a few comps along the way, i wud appreciate it if u joined aswell as plum, i knw i said bout setting up league but maybe way to getn a fishing club from forum members would be better, and we can go on trips round all fisheries, rivers etc

I`d be all for it if it was sort of a get together rather than a comp, then I could maybe get some much needed tips as I`m really a newbie to the sport. It would be great to meet all the lads, I think the banter would be good.

the odd banterous competitions would be good, we cud get days out at fisheries, get sum barbies, go first thing and stay till last light

well i had thought of a league originally in mind but the more i think about it we should have get togethers and the odd competition to begin with and see how it goes from ther. whats your thoughts on the matter mick?

yea probably a good idea to start off with a couple of one off comps. b4 you go the whole hog and go to the bother of organising a league, and you might change the minds of a few fourm members when everyone realise's it's just a good day out
