Glenarm Breakwater

Spent 5 hours last night at the Glenarm breakwater with one of my mates who is a very experienced sea angler. He showed me the ropes from rigs, baiting up to landing the fish over the rocks. Was a very good evening with plenty of action on my rod tip, something that made my heart pound everytime it bent over. I managed to hook and land a small Coley while my mate managed to hook and land two small Whiting and one small Codling. The fish that we were targeting, the dogfish, did not play ball at all and my mate was very surprised that none made an apperence as this is prime doggy water. I am now hooked on this sea fishing lark now that I know the basics and know what I am looking for. All in all a very good night was had.

Unfortunately havent been able to get out sea fishing here yet this year, hopefully within the next few weeks. Managed to get a way for a few days with the wife down south, done a bit of saltwater fly fishing, caught plenty of makeral and few three bearded mullet, great fun on light tackle.
