places to fish in niHi there every body iv just moved to Ireland from Rhode Island in the Great US of A and i was wondering where would be a good place to fly fish around Antrim as im working in hollywell hospital as a doc.
Heres what im looking for guys is some where is nice and quiet where i can relax and be with nature and i can get a look at your beautiful scenery but also i would like to fish both your rivers and lakes.
also i will need some gear like rod reels and artifishal lures as im used to big mouth bass am sure its diffrent overhere and also where can i go for tuition.

There are lots of great fisheries in Northern Ireland and not one of them is the same, i would recommend if you have the time, to get a day or two on each to give you a feel of stillwater fishing in Northern Ireland. As regards to rivers, that is not my area of expertise but im sure another member of this forum can fill you in on the details

To date I have fished many rivers throughout the world including, rivers in Canada, Finland, Norway, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England,
I have been working at Game fairs around the UK and Ireland for years giving fly tying demos
I have won the Co.Antrim Master Angler 8 times (this has never been done in its history)
I Am A Hardy Rod Tester
I am active in 2 fishing clubs The Antrim & District and The Mallusk Angling Society, I made a fly fishing film ,Called Fly fishing the World ,with Barrett productions for USA TV Starring Billy Connelly. I have also appeared in various magazines, including Trout & Salmon, Irish Angler, Country Life, Today’s Flyfisher, and Fly Fishing and Fly Tying.

GUIDING
I Guide and offer wild Brown trout and Salmon fishing from March to October on the Co.Antrim river Six Mile Water and other parts of N.Ireland ,Rainbow trout fishing is available on various Co. Antrim waters all year round and Sea Fly fishing on the Antrim coast.
From end of July Dollaghan Trout and Salmon, on the above rivers

How long are you here for? if it is permanent then you might want to buy yourself some decent kit or if you just here on a temporary basis then you could get some cheap rods etc
on the cheap front, makes like Shakespeare make fantastic rods at low prices
