Which HooksBeing new to fly tying, I was wondering which brand of hooks to buy. I need them for nymphs, buzzers & dries, maybe emergers too. I would buy them in packs of 100 & I think I'd be using size 10, 12 or maybe 14's. Someone told me kamasan were the best but I don't know where to purchase them for the best deal. Any help on size, brand & where to get them would be much appreciated.

The best supplier imo has to be Hugh O'Reilly. All his Kamasan hooks are geniune unlike some suppliers who are selling cheap sub standard chinese imports under the Kamasan name. He has all the range in all the sizes and postage is free to UK & Ireland.
His online shop can be found at O'Reilly's
The only hooks that I would not recommend in the Kamasan range are the B200 nymph hooks, I dont like these hooks at all, the gape is too narrow for my liking and the hook hold from these are not good at all, just my op.
Hope this helps.

yeh, plum kamasan hooks are good quality but as wayne says keep an eye out for other cheap imatations. for tying buzzers i usually use b100 or b110 and for wet flies b175. i also find gamakatsu g-point hooks to be really good and strong especially the heavy buzzers and competition heavyweights. Other good quality hook brands include partridge and fulling mill.

try searchin the internet for scorpion hooks, there the same hook as fulling mill but nearly half the price, they make a pretty much unbendable buzzer hook (my personal favourite)
