Wild Camping around Lough NeaghHi All,
I am planning to fish the rivers that feed into Lough Neagh, however would love to spend the weekend by camping along their banks.
I was wondering if any of you guys knew whether this was possible? Or perhaps know of other locations where one may find wild camping permitable or perhaps know of a private land that is willing to accomodate me for a small fee?
Many takes,

Welcome to the forum Reinier.
I don't know of any camping around the lough.
What are the rivers that you plan on fishing?

Well originally i was planning to fish the six mile, however having just read the one post about the pollution spill slighlty dampens my hopes on that.
Otherwise i was think about: Black-water, lower Bann. Do you perhaps have any other recommendations?, i've never fished in Northern Ireland before i'm on a working holiday situated in Belfast, so i though the best bet would probably be Lough Neagh and the rivers that feed into it.
Thanks

Well, i did a bit of research and found a national park that facilitates camping, which is grand . I wanted to know if any of you guys have fished the River Shimna before, it mentions it only hold sea trout and salmon? Is that true and if so what flies would you recommend one uses?

I have never fished the Shimna before but my reccomendations for general salmon fishing would have to be the cascade, currys red shrimp, apache shrimp and the finn gold shadow shrimp. Sea trout patterns that i have done well in the past with include teal blue and silver, peter ross, silver stoats tail and dark makeral. tight lines mate
