Check out Dennis Moss 'trout from a boat' and you will get the dressing for one we have being using for years on Lough Shellin. It is a very simple dressing, just seals fur (various colours) and red game hackle, it represents a buzzer hatching on the surface film but could also be taken for a sedge in bigger sizes. Tie them from 16's to 12's in a few shades, claret, ginger, g.o., hot orange and whatever shade you find good in your waters, and fish them dry in a light ripple when you see the fish sipping.
The original Bobs bits had two hackle wings sloping over the body, you could add these in but an exsersise i find pointless. _________________ 'Wildfishonly' |
