Just putting the feelers out to gain a bit of feedback on the idea of starting an angling society.
It would have to be run as a society with a commitee appointed, membership, fee's, AGM etc. The idea behind it could be to have competitions, outings and trips or if really adventerous trying to gain a lease on a fishery for the members use. If it did take off a section would be set up on the forum for the exclusive use of society members.
This is all just an idea at the moment and nothing is assured of happening, I'm just fishing for feedback on the idea at the moment so post your comments on the idea and if you would be interested.

I assume you are talking about a trout society as opposed to a mixed species society. |

Along the lines of game angling, anything on a fly basically, trout, salmon , pike, sea species etc, it would cover all aspects of fishing I suppose. The main aim would be to have fun, meet new people and learn from each other I think it would be a great idea. _________________

got back from scotland last week. been working at inverness airport, for last six weeks.and orkney three weeks previous. done a bit of fishing in orkney,a great wee place, loads of lochs, didnt catch many big uns, but loads of brown trout, biggest about two pounds, they dont half speak funny up there. also fished a loch near elgin it was called millbuies, full of trout. but got bitten off by mosquitoes what a nightmare. also fished loch maree north west scotland beautiful scenery, but too much water to cover, you really need a ghille, biggest about half pound. well sorry i havent been around but had to go where work is. oh for a lottery win - pikerboy. see ya. |
